#BordeandoRD: Day 5. We continue through the north coast.

This day in terms of route will be relatively easy. The children were asking how many days left to finish the trip. We thought they were tired, and the opposite occurred: "Oh, there are only four days left...we don’t want it to end!". Definitely confirmed that there were having a great time!

We started by doing a short stop at Playa Grande in Luperon. Here we took some pictures and walked for a while. It was very windy. Since we got out of the car, the children were ready to enter the water, but we told them that we would swim at Playa Diamante. This is one of the most awaited places by them.

At Cabarete Beach we coincide with the Windsurf, Kitesurf and Surf Classic that is held every year. It's been a while since we went to Cabarete. It brought back a lot of memories when we used to windsurf. Cabarete was a refuge for us for many years. Obviously we made these stories to the children.

Later, when arriving to Cabrera, the first stop was Playa Diamante. But we found ourselves with a set back and were not able to enjoy this amazing spot because of the sargasso. The beach was totally inaccessible and the people who sells food there, were barely open, but without any customers. The first was explain to the children and help overcome the frustration. We also explained to them that, as it is bad news for us, for those people and their families, it is much worse, becaus is difficult for them to earn money to support their families. At Playa Diamante there is a famous swing over the beach. Our eldest daughter wanted to swing despite the sargasso on the beach. We decided to please her, so she made it. Since the beginning of the trip, she was very excited about swinging on this beach that she remembers with such enthusiasm. Our boy was having fun on an old boat that was on the shore of the beach.

We decided to go to our next place of interest, Blue Lake. Swimming there was really revitalizing and in one way or another, made us overcome almost completely the sargasso issue in Playa Diamante.

Later with the sunset, we went to walk along the boardwalk of the town, we made a few pictures with the letters of the name of the town, just in front of the ocean. And then we had the best pizza and the best pasta of all Cabrera in the Restaurante La Rotonda, just at the end of the boardwalk. We almost traveled to Italy, is the only thing we can say.
