It was already Sunday morning. Dawn in Vista Linda. Like everyone who travels with children, it was 6:10 am and we were already awake. The bad, the body felt the fatigue of the previous day. The good thing, the dawn and the beginning of a new day of adventures, far exceeded fatigue and immediately we began to prepare ourselves and eat breakfast to not miss a minute of the day.
Gri Gri Lagoon it is one of the attractions of the area, which flows into the sea. We hired a boat that would take us on a tour of the coasts of Río San Juan, right in the lagoon. All very organized and the rates clearly established.
We visited Los Enamorados Beach, with crystal clear waters practically without waves and depth of no more than one meter, which was only for us; here we took a delicious swim. We did some snorkeling through the corals, but practically we did not find any fish, perhaps because of the shallowness. We only found the remains of a crab.
Later we went to Caletón Beach. Here you can eat typical food, fish and seafood from the area in various food stalls. This beach has something special: very curious sculptures of indians made by the native plastic artist of the area, called Persio Checo. Other sculptures of this type are seen in small keys near Caletón Beach. Simply very surprising to find these statues in different points.
Following the tour, we went to Las Golondrinas Cave, which is only reachable by boat. Its size is very small, but it is interesting to know. Also the natural pool should not be missing from the course; swimming here is almost mandatory. The only thing is that you have to know how to swim or put on a life jacket, since it is very deep.
After the tour, of approximately 3 hours, we returned to the Gri Gri Lagoon. Right across the street we decided to have lunch at Café de París, and to share a birthday cake because one of us was celebrating another year or life. Happy Birthday! The rest before returning to our house, we did doing paper airplanes with the children, after lunch.
